
My Go-To Morning Smoothie

When I moved back to Lafayette, my commute to work went from 30 minutes to 1 hour long. I quickly found that I needed to consume some type of food before I started my drive. Recently, I created my ideal morning routine, and one of my staples in my routine – is this smoothie & now I can’t live without it.
I found that I needed a food intake that would fill me up and give me a ton of energy. So, the most important thing this morning smoothie does for me is gives me a boost of energy before my hour commute to work. Once I get to work, I finish out my breakfast with some oatmeal and fruit.
This smoothie is a quick and easy recipe & is just so yummy.
Ingredients
- 4 Frozen Strawberries
- 1/2 Frozen Banana
- 1 cup Frozen Spinach
- 1 Scoop Vital Proteins Collagen
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/8 cup Orange Juice
- 1 tsp Honey
Directions
- Put in the frozen fruits / spinach in the bottom of the blender
- Dump the OJ and water on top of the frozen goodies
- Blend until 80% blended
- Dump the Protein and honey into the blender
- Blend until complete (you may need to add a bit more water)
I personally own the magic bullet and it does wonders to getting the spinach in my smoothie nice & smooth. Some days I like to make my smoothie without the OJ – or sometimes I will add in a few different types of fruit. Mangos and pineapple together are another great combo.
