Are you a recent Gym lover? Do you seem to never have what you need at the gym? One thing I struggled with when I first started consistently going to the gym was feeling under prepared.
I wanted to pass my knowledge to all of you beginner gym rats. I am always prepared for the unexpected – and you can be too!
My gym bag is just a simple Amazon find. My gym, Planet Fitness, provides you with a free bag when you sign up – but I never found the bag they provided was big enough. It definitely got me by for awhile. I love my bag I purchased from Amazon because it has a separate compartment for my shoes and a pocket for wet clothes as well.
Permanent Items In My Gym Bag
These items I keep in my bag and am in big trouble if I run out. The main thing I tend to forget to repack is my hair ties. Often, I forget to return my extra hair ties to my bag after I have to use them.
- Wireless Headphones (The MOST Important)
- Facial Wipes
- Extra Hair Ties
- Extra Tampons
- Extra Pair of Socks
- Lock for Gym Lockers
- Tanning Lotion / Eye Wear
- Resistance Bands
These items I take out / replace each day I pack my gym bag. I essentially have a mental checklist each time a pack my bag in order to make sure I have everything before I head off to work.
- Post Workout Protein
- Bottle Shaker
- Gym Clothes (Leggings, Sports Bra, T-Shirt, Socks)
- Tennis Shoes
My list is pretty simple, I don’t try to complicate things. I want to be prepared for certain scenarios like if I forget socks or hair ties, want to tan after my workout, or if I need a pain killer. I want to feel prepared but not over pack.
